Apply the base coat to your project surface, allowing the paint to dry at least overnight. Use masking tape to mask off any part of your project that you don’t want to crackle. Wrinkling can be caused by several things:
– Applying paint too thickly. If the surface of the paint dries while the paint underneath is still wet, the dried layer can start to wrinkle as it expands and contracts. This is more likely to happen with oil-based paints, as they can be applied more thickly than other types of paint.
– Not allowing enough time for the paint to dry completely before adding another layer. If the paint isn’t given enough time to dry properly, the new layer can cause the previous one to wrinkle.
– Applying paint to a surface that isn’t completely smooth. If there are bumps or irregularities on the surface, the paint can start to wrinkle as it dries.

If you notice crazing in your acrylic pour paintings, it is likely due to one of the following three reasons:
The first reason is that the paint you are using is not high quality. When using lower quality or cheaper paint, it is more likely to crazed once it dries.
The second reason is that the drying conditions are not ideal. If the air is too dry, this can cause the top layer of paint to dry too quickly.
The third reason is that you did not properly mix the paint before starting to pour. If the paint is not properly mixed, it can also lead to crazing once it dries.
To avoid crazing in your paintings, be sure to use high quality paint and mix it well before starting to pour. Make sure the drying conditions are ideal, and do not pour the paint until the previous layer has completely dried.
